Stop Foot Pain Before It Gets Worse

Whether you want to prevent bunions or you’ve just noticed a bunion—or a bunionette (tailor’s bunion) forming—or have had one for years, these common foot issues can gradually get bigger, causing pain, stiffness, and limiting how your feet move.

As long as your toes can still move, that's good news. You can take action now before they start, or stop them from getting worse.

Join our 2.5-hour workshop on April 19th and learn how to:

  • Prevent bunions and bunionettes

  • Relieve bunion and bunionette pain

  • Slowing the progression

  • Strengthen and improve mobility in your feet

  • Use the right tools and footwear for support

You’ll leave with written instructions and video guidance to continue at home.

Sunday, April 19th | 1:30–4:00 PM
Elaine’s home studio, Prince Albert, SK (Address will be provide once registration is complete)

Space is very limited.

Therapeutic Movement Yoga Classes

Therapeutic Movement classes blend breath, movement and stillness, the three aspects of traditional yoga with modern understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and pain science.
Therapeutic yoga isn't just about flexibility and relaxation.  Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, muscle imbalances, or stress-related tension, therapeutic yoga offers relief and healing in a group setting.

The benefits you can expect from therapeutic yoga classes:

  • Pain Relief: By focusing mindfully on your movement, and ensuring easy breath throughout the movements, therapeutic yoga can help alleviate pain by improving your body's overall functionality.

  • Anatomy Approach: Your yoga therapist considers your unique anatomy and challenges to create a practice that suits everyone in the class.

  • Improved Mobility: Through gentle movements, therapeutic yoga can enhance your range of motion, making everyday movements easier and more comfortable.

  • Stress Reduction: The combination of breath awareness, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques in therapeutic yoga can help lower stress levels and promote a sense of calm.

  • Reducing Compensation Movement Patterns: Therapeutic yoga helps you develop healthy movement patterns, reducing strain on your body.

  • Mind-Body Connection: Therapeutic yoga emphasizes the connection between your body and mind, fostering a deeper awareness of how your body moves and responds.

  • Gentle Movement: Therapeutic yoga is all about gradual progress and sustainable healing. It's not about pushing yourself to the limit, but rather about working within your body's capacity.

If you're curious about how therapeutic yoga could benefit you, I'd love to chat more. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss your specific needs.

Private Sessions

Pain is (can be) emotional, physical and/or psychological.

You may have experienced occasional pain. Then it becomes more frequent and eventually chronic, constant and persistent.  Occasionally saying “no” to that outdoor walk or time with friends and family turns into avoiding social contact, procrastination and anxiety.  Everything becomes a challenge.

You can’t breathe.  Your body hurts too much to move.  Your mind is in a fog.

Yoga Therapy is a combination of breathing techniques, relaxation practices, gentle movements and strength building.  Each session is a gently progression of untangling patterns from past physical injuries and emotional scars.

Yoga Therapy can address:

  • Chronic pain: including low-back pain, osteoarthritis, pre and post surgery hip & knee replacements, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and other types of pain such as that associated with fibromyalgia and  chronic fatigue syndrome

  • Mental health: including concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, post traumatic stress syndrome, (PTSD), insomnia, and others

  • Neurological issues and complications of stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)

  • Support for illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease

  • Overall well-being (you don’t need to be sick or in pain for yoga therapy to have value!) and healthy aging

The Thee Step Plan:

  1. We get together and create a customized plan.

You come to sessions each week.  Then, as you progress you come every other week.   Eight private sessions over three months.  You’ll take home all the resources we’ve worked with either written exercise plans, audios or videos so you can practice and continue the work.  And, if you have any questions, I’m only a text, phone call, or email away.

  3. We celebrate your growth, progress and accomplishments.

Your investment is:
               1 - 1.5 Hour appointment $140.
8 - Begins with a 1.5 Hour Initial Appointment Followed by Seven 1.0 Hour Appointments over three months $700.
