Realignment yoga starts at the very beginning teaching the fundamentals of movement meeting you where you are at in your body right now. It allows you to move safely within your range of movement without risk of injury. This is not a traditional yoga class with advanced poses that are fast paced and challenging.
Realignment yoga teaches you that you don’t have to over-stretch to move your body and that your body is made to move pain free.
You can expect a whole body approach with a combination of breathing, gentle movement, strengthening and relaxation.
You must be able to move up and down from the floor with relative ease.
Gentle Movement & Meditation
This is the perfect class to begin a meditation class.
The class begins with gentle yoga movements anyone can do ending with meditation.
This 15 minute practice is guided, focusing on the breath. Focusing on your breathing takes you attention on your thoughts and over time quiets the mind. This mindfulness technique is excellent for beginning and maintaining a practice.
